This weekend in the Holy Family community we are all playing Musical Houses. This is an exciting game where you pack up all of your belongings, throw out all the papers that need to be recycled and switch your life around yet again as God has called. As for Rachael and I, we are sweeping away the lingering dust bunnies which have gathered on our Catholic Worker ideals and reminding ourselves of what it really means to live in a house of hospitality.
We also have begun meetings regarding the repair work on the house. We are so blessed to have a number of skilled and knowledgeable people who are willing to help care for our community’s greatest asset: our homes. We thank Harold and Tony in advance for all the work they are planning to do.
Our first work day will be Saturday June 12th from 9am to 4pm. We are hoping to tear down the fence and stone wall between the shelter and the garden, so we will need some strong human beings to help. Everyone is welcome to come when they can and we will be providing a delicious and nutritious lunch. I hope to see you there!
