But if you are available, please join us next Tuesday for a shared evening between the Holy Family Catholic Worker community and the L’Arche Heartland community of Overland Park, KS. Former Holy Family live-in community members Gina and Rachael will be facilitating some sharing and activities including members of the L’Arche community.
L’Arche, if you are unfamiliar, is a movement, founded by Jean Vanier, of faith-based intentional communities centered around adults with intellectual disabilities and assistants who share in their life. If you would like to learn more from the L’Arche folks themselves, please join us!
What: Clarification of Thought on L’Arche and Jean Vanier
When: Tuesday, January 22nd:
- 6:30 p.m. – Brief introductions
- 6:40 p.m. – Jean Vanier activity
- 7:10 p.m. – Sharing
- 7:30 p.m. – Goodbye to the L’Arche folks, further learning/discussion after if interested
Also, feel free to join for a light dinner at 6:00 prior to the evening’s activities.
